Patriotic Union of Kurdistan site quoted the Mayor of Halabja city , Arkan Hassan that "We have formed three committees in Khurmal , Beyara and Sirwan areas to inspect the work of Gazprom".

He explained that the company has pledged to compensate land owners affected by oil exploration, pointing out that the research will be carried out by local workers.

He added that the interviewing people will be the first as well as a medical examination on applying for a job, in addition to other conditions to provide equal employment opportunities for all.
