Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Planning announced the rise in the monthly inflation rate (0.6%) for October 2019, and an annual decline for the same month by (0.8%).

Ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi said in an interview with Shafaq News, that the overall index for October in Iraq reached 104.8 percent as it rose by 0.6 percent compared to September 2019, attributing this to the rise in the food and non-alcoholic beverages department. (2.5%), Health (1.3%), Education (0.4%).

Al-Hindawi added that the core inflation index decreased by (0.2%) from the previous month and decreased by (0.1%) compared with October 2018.

He pointed to the decline in the annual inflation rate during October 2019 to (0.8%) compared with October 2018 as the record reached at the time (105.6%).
