Shafaq News / The goods transit with Kurdistan Region has resumed on Sunday, Iranian Customs Authority spokesman, Ruhullah Latifi said.
Latifi said in a press statement today, that, thanks to the Iranian consulate in Erbil, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has agreed to resume transit goods, such as cars, construction equipment, iron, and industrial pipes, according to specific criteria.
He pointed to the transit conditions across the region, explaining: that the conditions for granting the license include paying 25 % of the total price of transit goods and having a document specifying the source and specifying the time required in the customs bill and a letter from the representative to pass the transit goods (48 hours maximum).
He noted that the Ministry of the Interior, Security and Customs in Kurdistan Region has the task of monitoring transit activities, while the amount of the guarantee will be returned after leaving the borders of the region and returning the bill of the concerned institution.
According to Latifi, this matter has been enforceable since May 6.
