The attack took place on Saturday near Mosul city (about 402 km north of Baghdad), which stopped all supplies through the pipeline linking Iraq and Turkey.

Officials in Iraq's North Oil Company said in statements to Reuters, briefed by “Shafaq News” that “a bomb attack on Sunday stopped oil pumping through Iraqi pipeline from Kirkuk’s oil fields to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.

Since 21 of June, the pipeline didn’t work but for a few days due to a leakage as it is often exposed to attacks by militants linked to al-Qaeda.

Stop of supplies across the line caused a decline in the country's exports over the past two months.
