The opening ceremony of the field was attended by the Minister of Oil , Abdul Karim al-Laeebe , Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs ,Hussain al-Shahristani with representatives of a coalition of companies, which are Russian Kazibrom, Kocaz South Korean , Malaysian Petronas and Turkish TPAO Companies.

Kazibrom Russian Company has announced in the third of last June launching production in Badra oil field.

The company said in a statement that "the required amount of oil for the start of commercial production from the field will be assembled during three months and then Badra field will be ready to reach the planned production rates, amounting to 15 000 barrels per day".
