Abdul-Mahdi said in a statement to Shafaq News that the Energy Committee in the Ministry of Oil has recently taken a decision to reduce the required power for the establishment of refineries through private investment to 50,000 barrels per day, on condition that 80% would be of white derivatives.

He said there was a determined effort to improve the production lines and complete the new lines in existing refineries.

The Minister of Oil noted that the ministry is determined to improve production lines and increase the refineries by inviting competent international companies to invest under conditions established by the Iraqi side.
