Shafaq News / The Iraqi Air Force leadership announced today, Wednesday, the completion of 1613 aircraft maintenance after two years of work stoppage.
"The leadership announced in statement received by Shafaq news agency that, 1613 aircraft returned to service with Iraqi efforts," noting that "the plane's engine was replaced, the idle radar system was repaired and all parts were maintained."
It is noteworthy that the maintenance of the aircraft which belongs to the No. 9 Squadron was maintained at Balad Air Force Base, north of Baghdad, in coordination between the technical division of the base and the F16 aircraft engineering unit.
The 9th (Fighter) Squadron is a squadron of the Iraqi Air Force., and it is considered effective in the war against ISIS. The squadron is currently based at Balad Air Force Base.
