Shafaq News / The Iraqi Minister of Defense , Juma'a Anad announced, on Sunday, the nomination of three military leaders for the post of commander of the ground force in Iraq.

"Three candidates have been submitted to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to choose a candidate from among them for the position of commander of the ground force," Anad said.

“The candidates are the commander of Al-Jazeera operations, Major General Qassim Al-Muhammadi, the commander of Anbar operations, Major General Nasser Al-Ghannam, and the commander of Nineveh operations, Major General Noman Al-Zobaie,” He added.

It is noteworthy that Juma'a Anad was the commander of the Iraqi ground force before he was chosen as Minister of Defense in the government of Mustafa Al-Kadhimi
