Shafaq News / A security source said on Wednesday, that four farmers were injured in the outskirts of Jalawla district, northeast of Diyala.
A roadside bomb exploded this morning in Umm Hinta village 15 km north of Jalawla district, wounding 4 farmers from one family, "three brothers with their sister" and they were transferred to Jalawla Hospital to receive the necessary treatments, the source told Shafaq News Agency.
"A security force was deployed in the vicinity of the accident, in search of other bombs,” he added.
It is noteworthy that the northern areas of Jalawla witnessed a security unrest for more than a year after the infiltration of ISIS elements fleeing from the liberated areas and governorates to orchards and agricultural sites.
Jalawla district is located 70 km northeast of Baquba, and it is inhabited by a mixture of Arabs, Kurds, and Turkmen. The district fell by ISIS in August 2014 before being restored in November of the same year.
