Shafaq News / Karbala and Diwaniyah provinces announced that 8 cases of Corona virus have recovered on Sunday.
The spokesperson for Karbala Health Department, Salim Kathim said in a statement reported to Shafaq News, that "today (7) people with Corona virus were recovered (4 males and 3 females), whose ages ranged between (52-79) years, and those recorded cases (9, 11, 12, 16, 17, 20, 22) at the time of their infection with the virus, spread over different areas .
He added, " the total recovery cases in the province rise to (18) cases," explaining, "As for the remaining (42) cases are under treatment in Imam Hussein Medical City, and are receiving intensive health care, according to Global health regulations. "
Kathim added, "The announcement of recovery cases only takes place after conducting several laboratory tests that prove the patient's complete recovery."
In a related context, Kathim explained, "(40) samples of a suspected case were withdrawn and sent to the central health laboratory in Baghdad, to confirm the status of the infection or not, as the received results are free from infection with this virus," noting that "the department renews its call to citizens, to cooperate with it by adhering to the recommendations of the central and local crisis cells, at the foremost the commitment to a curfew, and educational guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and its health institutions to ensure their safety from corona infection.
It is noteworthy that the total number of people suffering from the disease throughout Karbala has reached (66) cases so far, including (6) deaths.
For its part, Diwaniya Health Department announced that a woman with corona has recovered.
A statement of the department stated that "45 suspected samples were tested and the result was negative, as there is no new infection”.
The statement indicated that "the total number of infections was 7, the number of recovery cases 4, and the number of deaths 1".
