Shafaq News/ A close source from the leader of the Sadrist movement announced on Monday that Al- Sewira air base project of the Ministry of Defense has cost the state treasury nearly two billion dollars, although there is nothing on the ground till now.

Saleh Mohammed al-Iraqi said in a post today that "we have been informed by an official in the Ministry of Defense with serious information to provide you with the following:

1. Al- Sewira air base

The project cost (one billion and two hundred million dollars) with extra (six hundred million dollars)

All the money has been spent and there is absolutely nothing on the ground

"The official has handed it over after the inquiry to the Prime Minister   and no action has been taken," he said.
