Shafaq News / A local source in Salahuddin reported that a man and his son were killed by a roadside bomb in one of the villages of the left coast of Al-Sherqat district, northern Salahuddin.

The source told Shafaq News, that a roadside bomb exploded near a factory in "Al-Sura" village in the left coast of Al-Sherqat district, killing a man and his son.

 "The security forces cordoned off the accident, transported the bodies to the forensic medicine and opened an investigation to uncover the cause of the accident.

This incident is the second of its kind in Al-Sherqat, after 3 memebers of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) were killed and 6 were injured , in Kanous village on the left coast of Al-Sherqat district.

Sherqat district is located 125 km north of Tikrit and 135 km west of Kirkuk.
