Shafaq News / An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale hit for the third time, the border areas of Sumar City in Kermanshah Province in western Iran, adjacent to Mandali city in the Iraqi province of Diyala.

The seismological center of the Geophysical Foundation at the University of Tehran said that this earthquake occurred at 8 and 33 minutes Wednesday morning local time in the suburbs of Sumar city bordering Iraq.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 8 km from the surface of the earth, 22 km from the city of Sumar (Kermanshah Province) and 50 km from Ilam.

The seismic observatories recorded a fifth earthquake that hit Mandali district, adjacent to the Iranian border, according to The seismological center of the Geophysical Foundation announced on Wednesday.

The observatories recorded a new earthquake on Tuesday evening at 11:37:20 local time (22 km) near the Iraqi-Iranian border southeast of Mandali city.

According to the observatories, the strength of the earthquake reached (5.4) degrees on the Richter scale, and the citizens in the city center felt a strong feeling.

On Tuesday, the Weather Forecast and Seismological Authority announced that four earthquakes occurred in Mandali city.
