Shafaq News / A security source and eyewitnesses said on Wednesday that a prominent leader's sit-in tent was targeted in the protests in Nasiriyah, the capital of Dhi Qar Governorate in southern Iraq, the prominent leasder is Alaa Al-Rikabi.

The source and witnesses told Shafaq News that an explosive device exploded early this morning in Al-Haboubi square for sit-ins, which resulted in the injury of at least one protester and serious material damage.

For its part, the police said in a statement today that "at 12:30 a.m. an explosive device exploded near the detachment of the pharmaceutical martyr , Muhannad Kamel in Nasiriyah city, causing material damage without any casualties."
