Shafaq News / The Crisis Cell announced in of Souk Al-Shuyukh district in Dhi Qar Governorate announced on Monday that one of the suspected persons infected with Corona virus had escaped from the emergency room of a hospital in the province.
A statement of the cell, reported to Shafaq News, that "Consultations and the emergency room have been closed at Souk Al-Shuyukh General Hospital, in accordance with Office Order 55 and the directives of the Ministry of Health for the purpose of complete fumigation."
The statement pointed out that "two suspected cases of infection of the emerging corona virus were received, one of which was referred to Al-Hussein General Hospital and the other person escaped from the emergency room , noting that “"Al-Hussein General Hospital receives very critical cases only in order to preserve the safety of citizens and to reduce the spread of the disease”.
The Ministry of Health said that "positive results (new infections) were 14 distributed as follows: 7 cases in Baghdad / Rusafa, two cases in Baghdad / Al-Karkh, two cases in Najaf, and one case in each of Maysan, Diyala and Diwaniyah."
It noted that "the total number of infections reached 124, the total number of recovery cases: 26, and the total number of deaths were 9".
The cell also decided to suspend flights for the period between 17 and 24 March, and the cell emphasized the suspension of movement between the provinces, while local administrations were given the authority to impose a curfew.
The Iraqi judiciary stressed that legal measures should be taken against violators of the curfew and those who refrain from providing information about those infected with Corona virus.
