Shafaq News / The resigned Prime Minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi met on Tuesday with Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.

A statement issued by Abdul Mahdi's office stated that "the meeting discussed the developments of the situation in the country , the peaceful movement and supported efforts to form the new government.

The statement added, "It was stressed the need for all forces to cooperate to facilitate the task of the Prime Minister-designate in expediting the selection of the ministerial cabinet and enhancing the work of state institutions."
