Shafaq News / Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi has sent a telegram to President of the People's Republic of China , Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

Abdul-Mahdi said in the telegram, "In his name and on behalf of the Iraqi people, he expressed his solidarity with the leadership and people of China in facing Corona virus, and stressed his high confidence in China's ability to overcome this crisis and its success in taking measures that limit its danger to the friendly Chinese people."

He added that Iraq stands with the Republic of China and the rest of the countries and the International Health Organization to support efforts to prevent the spread of this disease and to provide effective treatment to eradicate it.

China recorded 81 new deaths from the emerging Coronavirus in Hubei, the epicenter of the outbreak, bringing the total virus victims to 780 people within the region, 811 deaths and 37,198 cases across the Chinese territory.
