Shafaq News / Peshmerga Ministry revealed on Sunday that it had begun to provide aid to the Ministry of Health in the task of fighting Corona virus and limiting its spread in Kurdistan Region after recording one infection and one death.

The Secretary General of the Ministry, Jabbar Yawar  said in a statement to Shafaq News, that the support of the Ministry of Peshmerga for the Ministry of Health is focused on how to treat those infected with Corona virus or put an end and reduce infections, adding that health institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Peshmerga and the institution affiliated with to forces 70 in Sulaimaniyah have established a special hospital for those infected with this virus was established with a standard period and within 12 days.

He explained that the hospital consists of 65 beds equipped with the necessary equipment, adding that this hospital was established with the help of a group of investors and people who donated to the health institution.

Yawer added that the Ministry of Health in Erbil has prepared its own hospital for the Ministry of Health to be a place for those who have this virus to isolate them, stressing that the Ministry supports the medical units of the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of the epidemic.

The Ministry of Peshmerga announced at the end of last February the suspension of training tasks in all its training centers, as part of the preventive measures taken to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus.
