Shafaq News/ Protesters on Wednesday morning blocked a major road leading to sites and oil fields in the southernmost province of Basra.

An official security source told Shafaq News that protesters in al-Zubair district west of Basra blocked the road leading to the southern Rumaila area, which includes sites and oil fields.

He pointed to a large security deployment near the Basra education department in the central stronghold of the province, which opened its gate after it was closed in the past days by protesters and students.
