Shafaq News / Haneen Al-Qaddou, a member of Al-Fateh Alliance led by the Secretary General of Badr Organization ,Hadi Al-Amri doubted on Sunday the possibility of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kathemi to form the new federal government, attributing the reasons to the conditions imposed by the political forces in the country.

Al- Qaddou said in a statement, reported to Shafaq News, that "the process of forming the government by Al-Kathemi is still facing obstacles and conditions that will be imposed by this bloc or political forces."

He added that " Kurdistan Alliance have two conditions, the first condition relates to the region's share in the budget and the application of Article 140 in Kirkuk, as well as ministerial positions, while the second condition for Kurdistan Alliance is the agreement of the majority of Shiite forces on the candidate regardless of the candidate's personality or political affiliation."

Article 140 of the Iraqi constitution stipulates that the ownership of the disputed areas between Erbil and Baghdad will be decided. The Federal Supreme Court in the country recently ruled that the article will be effective and not expired until its provisions are applied.

Al- Qaddou added by saying, "As for the Sunni forces, they are demanding the electoral merits and a group of ministries. As Mahmoud al-Mashhadani said," We want our ministry and what have nothing to do with the rest under these conditions and the disintegration of Shiite forces Mr. Mustafa Al-Kathemi faces a set of restrictions, conditions and challenges that may be an obstacle to his ability to form a government and obtain confidence by the members of the Iraqi parliament.
