Shafaq News / Al-Fateh alliance headed by Hadi al-Amiri said on Wednesday that Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kathimi is facing the same conditions and demands that prompted former commissioner Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi to withdraw from the formation of the government.
MP of Al-Fateh alliance, Hanin Al-Qadu told Shafaq News that "the political forces, after welcoming the commissioning of Mustafa Al-Kathimi to form a government, some of them have asked Al-Kathemi for ministerial portfolios and executive positions in the next government."
He added that "the Prime Minister-designate started facing some obstacles towards the formation of his government, due to the terms and incapacitated demands by the Sunni and Kurdish blocs in exchange for giving confidence to the government of Al-Kathemi."
Al- Qadu pointed out that "the conditions and demands set by some political blocs in exchange for giving confidence to Al-Kathemi government are the same ones that prompted the former commissioner, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, to apologize and withdraw from forming the government."
The Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kathemi said in an interview with journalists on Tuesday, that the names of members of the government cabinet are ready, and he is negotiating with the political blocs on this in order to pass it inside the parliament dome as soon as possible.
Al-Kathimi said he is the head of a crisis government, "and neither he nor anyone else has a magic stick" to solve the crises in Iraq.
