He added that "the purpose of publishing such news is as a pressure card on the Shiite forces rejecting Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zorfi in order to agree to take over the Iraqi government," stressing that "talking about establishing a coup in Iraq is unlikely and cannot be accepted."

A Kuwaiti newspaper revealed on Sunday that the United States is planning to carry out a military coup in Iraq to control power in Baghdad.
