Shafaq News / Jassem Al-Bukhati, a member of the Iraqi parliament and a leader in Al-Hakim movement led by Ammar al-Hakim, said on Sunday that political forces are "unable" to impose the names of the ministers of Muhammad Allawi, who is charged with forming a transitional government in Iraq.
Al-Bukhati told Shafaq News that "Allawi will choose his ministers himself without the interference of political forces, and he will take into account the issue of nationalities and components, according to the balance."
He explained that "Allawi is able to choose the ministers of his government without referring to the political forces. These forces, which were unable to find an alternative to Adel Abdul Mahdi, will be unable to pressure a government whose age may be a year or less, and for this will leave the whole matter in Allawi's hand, without any political interference in it." .
The President of the Republic, Barham Ahmed Salih commissioned the former Minister of Communications, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi yesterday evening to form an interim government that paves the way for early elections in Iraq.
Allawi issued in a speech after his assignment a number of pledges, the most prominent of which is the non-acceptance of any candidate imposed by the political forces in forming his government, to proceed in preparing for early parliamentary elections, confining arms to the state, holding the protesters' killers accountable, and calling for the necessity of continuing demonstrations in the country.
