Shafaq News / The Iraqi prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi attributed today, Wednesday, the economic crisis Iraq is going through, to the accumulation of errors and depending on oil as a primary source; emphasizing the need to revitalize other sectors and find a permanent solution for the internally displaced citizens.
"The PM asked the departments to prepare detailed lists determining the numbers of the internally displaced citizens", as by a statement issued after his visit to Salamiyah camp in Nineveh Governorate, adding that, "necessary measures can reduce their suffering and facilitate their return to their homes".
This camp houses families that displaced from the areas of Al-Baaj, Hatra and Rabia, as well as citizens from the right coast of Mosul, who left their homes after ISIS took over.
In his speech, Al-Kadhimi promised that the government will work in full capacity to reach a permanent solution to the problem of internally displaced citizens and end their suffering. The PM emphasized the need to, "revitalize sectors other than oil; such as agriculture, industry and tourism; in order to support the national economy."
Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi visited today, Wednesday, the city of Mosul on the sixth anniversary of its invasion. Al-Kadhimi in his speech held the liability of "previous disasters" in the country, including the ISIS invasion of northern and western Iraq, to corruption and mismanagement.
