Shafaq News / Iraq’s Higher Committee for Health and National Safety / to combat Corona pandemic held its meeting today, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, to discuss its agenda that includes reviewing and evaluating the curfew decision, and a number of issues related to the efforts to prevent corona virus.

The Prime Minister indicated that the Corona pandemic represents a war and a real challenge, and efforts to confront it must be intensified.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of focusing more on health awareness efforts in all media, increasing the distribution of health advice and guidelines, calling all state ministries and institutions to contribute to this effort , protect citizens from this danger, and to have full commitment to health protection to prevent an increase in infections.

The Higher Committee heard a report submitted by the Minister of Health and Environment on developments in the health situation, number of infections, deaths and recovery cases.

Iraq’s Higher Committee for Health and National Safety decided the following:

First: The curfew will be from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Second: A total curfew to be imposed during Eid al-Fitr.

Third: The Ministry of Transport set conditions for transporting citizens safely holding the violators accountable in coordination with the Ministry of Interior.
