Allawi replied on question by U.S. CNN , seen by "Shafaq News", if he is seeing the end of Iraq as we know it, where he said, "it is possible, as it depends on how you will handle the situation, but I think we're going towards the division of Iraq to convert t to the patron of the Syrian conflict”.
Allawi added in an interview, "The belt areas around Baghdad have fallen, the suburbs are now under the control of the militants and Sunni militias and Baghdad government is not able to change that, the government is unable to stop the bombings in Baghdad."
On the U.S. intervention in Iraq, Allawi said "this will not help, it is possible to pour oil on the fire", and expressed his belief that "America has lost its ability to influence Iraq, especially after it had left Iraq in 2011."
Allawi explained that "there are two key players in Iraq; Iran and Turkey, but again they cannot come to Iraq so simply."
