Shafaq News/ Authorities in Iraq issued an arrest warrant against the former police chief of Diwaniya.

A security source told Shafaq News that an arrest warrant was issued in accordance with Article 406 of the Iraqi Penal Code issued against the former director of Diwaniya police Major General, Farqad al-Issawi.

Al-Issawi has already been dismissed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Adel Abdul Mahdi after his failure by the investigative committees on dealing with the events of violence and the fall of victims that accompanied the demonstrations.
