Shafaq News / The General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring reported on Wednesday that it has recorded an earthquake east of Mosul city, the capital of Nineveh province, northern Iraq.

The authority said in a statement that its seismic observatories recorded an earthquake at dawn today, Wednesday, 4/15/2020 at 2:57:45 local time in Makhmour district, which is 74 km southeast of Mosul city.

The statement added that the strength of the earthquake reached (3.7) degrees according to the Richter scale, noting that the earthquake wasn’t felt.
