Shafaq News / The Shiite political forces will hold on Thursday evening, an "important" meeting with the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al- Kadhimi to resolve three main files.
“There will be an important meeting this evening between the Shiite political forces and the Prime Minister-designate, Mustafa Al- Kadhimi to resolve the cabinet file, discuss the ministerial platform, and agree on the date of the voting session,” MP Saad Al-Saadi of “Al-Fateh” coalition led by Hadi Al-Amiri told Shafaq News, "The voting session will be next week, and today's meeting will determine which day of this week."
"The Shiite political forces have had observations on the approach of the mandate of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al- Kadhimi , regarding the candidates for ministerial portfolios, especially the share of the Shiite component, but the matter was resolved during the dialogues."
"Today, we are waiting for the names of the members of the new cabinet to be presented, so that we have another opinion and agree upon them."
At the time of his assignment, Al- Kadhimi won the support of most of the major political forces in the three Shiite, Kurdish, and Sunni components, as they promised to give confidence to his government formation through its parliamentary blocs in the parliament.
However, Al- Kadhimi has not yet been able to announce his government formation due to the differences taking place among the political forces over the distribution of ministerial portfolios, especially the sovereign ones.
