The source told Shafaq News that Basra Health Department has ordered to close Al-Shifa Hospital in Basra city, allocating it to corona disease only.

On Friday, a member of Human Rights Commission, Ali al-Bayati called Iraq to enter "Warning C" stage.

Al-Bayati said in a statement received by Shafaq News that "with the announcement of neighboring countries qith Corona virus, and the weak health awareness among citizens, it is necessary for Iraq to enter alert stage (C) and find a real solidarity between governmental and non-governmental institutions and the media to raise health awareness to prevent disease and avoid unnecessary gatherings. "

It is noteworthy that the representative of the Shiite supreme reference in Iraq, Ali Al-Sistani, stressed on Friday the necessity of health institutions to prepare for facing the threat of "Corona" virus after recording infections in Iran, the eastern neighbor of Iraq.

Ahmed Al-Safi said during Friday sermon in Karbala, that "health institutions must develop radical solutions , define the problem and preparations must be at the level of this danger."

He added, "Prevention is better than cure, there must be attention and caution, and that the authorities would be at the level of responsibility and avoid the country and the people of this danger."
