“ America did not have to say only what was said on the dispute of oil between Baghdad and Erbil, which is that it is with the parties to agree on the issue of exporting oil and it's not with the export unilaterally by the region”, Barzani said during a meeting, which was attended by senior officials of his government in Kurdistan Parliament , briefed by “Shafaq News”.

However, he wished that when America spoke about what what has been done by the region to speak about cutting the salaries of the staff of the region at the same time .

On oil and economic cooperation between Erbil and Ankara , Barzani revealed that the region started meetings and conversations with Turkey for two years and resulted in signing a protocol on energy for a duration of fifty years , subject to renewal , refusing to make this topic as a political thing .

Barzani pointed out that the issue is purely economic to secure the lives of the citizens of the region , reiterating that Baghdad sent only 10% of the general budget to the region instead of the agreed-upon rate which is 17% .

He explained that Baghdad carry out new large expenses each year included by the general budget of Iraq on behalf of the sovereign expenses that are deducted from the value of the general budget , noting that the region bears a part of its share without having a role in these expenses .
