Barzani 's statements came this morning during his participation in the ceremony of receiving the remains of 93 of the sons of Barzan clan that had been found in al- Samawah desert last year and will be transferred to the martyrs cemetery to be buried there .

Barzan people were arrested in an operation called as Anflah al-Barzaneen means (Appropriating their blood , their honor and their property ) in 1983 where about 8000 of them were arrested and then buried alive at the desert of Samawah on the Iraqi-Saudi border .

The ceremony took place in Erbil international airport in the presence of many officials in the regional government and representatives of the Kurdish parties then the remains will be transported in a special ceremony to Barzan area .

Barzani added in his speech that was attended by " Shafaq News " , that " we will not alter our freedom with anything else , In reference to the current differences between Baghdad and Erbil.

Barzani commented on the current crisis between Baghdad and Erbil, by saying " the current crisis is so severe and the issue is not the budget or oil , but bigger than this . It is to break the prestige of the Kurds and Kurdistan as they want us to be marginalized, but we are the owners of our decision”.

Barzani added , " It is impossible , after all this freedom , we will not take a step back and during previous periods Several delegations visited Baghdad, meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister , but suddenly they have to cut the salaries of the staff of the region."

He wondered , " After all these sacrifices , Is the Kurdish people willing to compromise their freedom ? "

He also said , "If Baghdad authorities are considering using this as leverage against the region , I say and not from the threat logic with all certainty we would have a position “.

Barzani said that he had spoken during the past period with all Kurdish parties "I told them that Baghdad cannot continue in this way because we cannot live under the threat on an ongoing basis ."

He stressed that " they should not think that they will oppress the Kurdish people , because we have learned not to live under oppression ."
