Shafaq News / Basra Health Directorate south of Iraq announced on Monday that it has recorded 12 new cases of the emerging corona virus.

A statement issued by the department received by Shafaq News stated that "the new positive cases on Monday reached 12 cases," explaining that “6 cases have recoveries, while the province did not record any deaths."

The statement added that "total number of positive cases increased to 270, (17 deaths + 125 recoveries + 128 under treatment)."
