Shafaq News / Member of Parliament , Alia Nassif said on Wednesday that financial corruption in the Ministry of Electricity has reached a stage called (crazy thefts), noting that this type of theft includes contracting with large sums to buy things that the ministry does not need, buying (fake) things, such as buying (Chillers), approximately by one billion dollars.

Nassif said in a statement today "The Ministry of Electricity today is in the process of looting and wasting nearly one billion dollars, as the ministry previously wasted millions of dollars by installing chillers that proved to fail in each of (south of Baghdad station, Mullah Abdullah gas station, Khor Al-Zubair station, Al-Najibiya station, Al-Quds station, the middle Euphrates stations), and the corrupt and those who spent the money were not held accountable for unhelpful contracts such as grills or turbine cooling systems. "

She clarified"The main defendants in this matter are (I, T), (A, I, A), (I, I) and (F) in addition to a higher authority in the ministry, since they have already organized invitations to previously agreed companies such as Mai, Trane, and TAS, as they belong to the same agent, and now they came with a new company, Stellar Energy, to prepare the priorities and pass a billion dollar contract on failed chillers systems, just as the funny thing is that Rumaila and Shatt Basra stations were referred to the investor, so how can a contract can be concluded on chillers for them?

Nassif also indicated "This amount is sufficient to establish a 1500 MW plant in a turn-key manner, and the filters did not and will not increase the energy from the turbines to be installed in any way because the summer temperatures are above normal and the cooling systems or the tanks are not affected by its work."

"When will the money bleeding be stopped in this ministry and why is the government not taking any action to stop these corrupt contracts? Is silence satisfying the gang of Britain? Are there hidden partnerships between some? And when is the ministry cleared of these thieves? We hope the judiciary and the public prosecution intervene," she asked. These thieves were prevented from traveling after despairing of government interference. "
