Shafaq News / MP, Abdel Rahim Al-Shammari announced on Wednesday collecting the signatures of 50 MPs to amend the unified pension law that the parliament recently voted on.

Al-Shammari said during a press conference held in parliament that the retirement law voted by the parliament expels a large number of Professors and Assistant Professor from the service.

He pointed out that referring the competencies for retirement is a disruption to the country, and accordingly, the signatures of 50 MPs were collected to readjust the paragraph referring the professor and the assistant professor to retirement due to the country's need for these rare specializations.

On Monday, the Iraqi Chronicle affiliated to the Ministry of Justice announced the publication of the first amendment of the unified pension law, to be in force.
