Shafaq News / A source in the 7-party Committee, which includes Shiite political forces revealed on Sunday, that there is an agreement within the committee to nominate a close member to Nuri al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law coalition, Naim al-Suhail as a prime minister.
The second constitutional deadline for selecting a candidate for prime minister in Iraq will end tomorrow, Monday. The source told Shafaq News that , "The Seven- Party Committee reached a preliminary agreement to nominate Naim Al-Suhail as prime minister, but the dialogues are still ongoing and will not stop."
He added, "If the committee does not reach a final agreement to nominate Al-Suhail and present his officially to the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, then the Seven –party Committee will present the head of the intelligence service, Mustafa Al-Kazemi to fill the position."
He said, "We expect that Al-Kathemi is the favorite, although there is agreement on Al-Suhail."
