Shafaq News/ Angry protesters blocked a main road leading to an oil field in southern Iraq, an informed source with the situation said Sunday.
The source told Shafaq News that protesters blocked the Block Nine oil road, which leads to al-Faiha field east of Basra, which is invested by a Kuwaiti company.
Demonstrators blocked the road linking Khor al-Zubair and Umm Qasr areas south of Basra by burning tires to prevent the passage of staff and security forces from reaching Umm Qasr, which is witnessing a large sit-in in front of the port of Umm Qasr.
It is noteworthy that the demonstrators blocked the Al-Shaib crossing border, the land border crossing between Iraq and Iran from Maysan province.
