Shafaq News / The Commission of Integrity in the Iraqi parliament revealed on Sunday, a parliamentary approach to question the Minister of Electricity Louay al-Khatib, due to the presence of corruption files and his failure to manage the ministry.

Commission member Alia Nassif told Shafaq News that "we will send a letter to the Federal Court to inquire whether the minister can be questioned in the caretaker government for the purpose of interrogating the Minister of Electricity Louay al-Khatib," noting that "there is a blackout  of electricity in most areas from 8 hours to 12 hours, and this indicates that there is a failure in managing the electricity policy in the ministry. "

Nassif indicated that "there are suspicious deals held in Dubai and a lot of brokers surround the Ministry of Electricity and there are those in special grades who establish corrupt projects in electricity, for this it is very necessary to interrogate the Minister of Electricity Louay Al-Khatib."
