Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Transportation announced on Tuesday that the observatories of the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismology recorded an earthquake on the morning of 10/9/2019 northeast of Baghdad city at 01.40.54 local time for the country.

The authority said in a statement that its strength reached 3.8 degrees on the Richter scale, which is located (170) km northeast of Baghdad , was not felt by citizens and there were no reports of any damage.

The authority called on citizens to exercise caution and stay away from rumors and false news and abide by the seismic commandments.

Iraq has been affected recently by a number of earthquakes, especially in the eastern side of it along the eastern border with the Arab plate.
