Shafaq News / An explosion took place on Saturday in Sinjar District Center; the stronghold of the Yazidi Kurds in Nineveh Governorate, a local source informed Shafaq News Agency.

The source said that an explosion took place near "Silos" of Sinjar in the district’s center without causing any human losses.

He added that the nature of the explosion was not immediately clear.
