Shafaq News/ The Council of Ministers hold on Saturday, an extraordinary session called by Prime Minister , Adel Abdul-Mahdi to discuss the subject of his resignation and the government and submit it to the Parliament  to discuss the implications of the government of the day-to-day affairs in accordance with the Constitution.

"The Prime Minister affirmed the principle of the peaceful transfer of power in the democratic system, and the achievement of the interests of the people is an underestimating goal," a statement issued by the council received by Shafaq News. He called on the Parliament to find appropriate solutions at its next session, and called on members of the government to continue their work while forming the new government. "

"The Prime Minister reviewed the complex circumstances in which the government was formed, the challenges it faced and the achievements it has achieved in the past period on the internal and foreign relations level.”
