Shafaq News / Al-Fateh coalition headed by Hadi Al-Amiri announced on Tuesday its refusal for the President Barham Salih assignment to the leader of Al-Nasr coalition, Adnan Al-Zorfi, to form the new government for the coming period, considering it as a violation and a provocation.

Shiite political parties close to Iran say that Al-Zorfi is loyal to America, and yesterday made threats if this assignment was done.

"We reject the unconstitutional step taken by the President of the Republic to appoint a candidate outside the constitutional contexts, which stipulates the assignment of the largest bloc candidate and his formal declaration is a constitutional violation," said Fatah Alliance in a statement, reported to Shafaq News.

The coalition added that "the President of the Republic repeats the same violation today, as he violated the constitution on one hand and did not commit to a consensus among the political forces on the other hand," threatening, "We hold the President of the Republic fully responsible for the repercussions of these provocative steps and we will take all measures to prevent this disregard for the law and the constitution."

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih commissioned the leader of Al-Nasr coalition, Adnan Al-Zorfi to form the government in Iraq, where Al-Zorfi had one month to form the cabinet.

Al-Zorfi's assignment came within a constitutional deadline of 15 days, which was set after Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi stepped down from the task of forming the government early this month, as he failed to persuade the Sunnis and Kurds to support his government formation and his government program.
