Shafaq News/ According to "Der Spiegel" newspaper, Germany is ready to send 2500 of its soldiers to "Kurdistan -Syria" if an international safe area was established there.
The newspaper said that “the mission which will be sent if Germany's proposal is met will include reconnaissance and special engineering units, as well as armored personnel carriers, howitzers and other heavy weapons, while the air force will be reinforced by Tornado and Eurofighter.
"According to experts from the German Defense Ministry, the proposed safe zone will be divided into sectors 40 kilometers long and 30 kilometers wide," the newspaper added.
German Defense Minister, Angrett Kramp-Karenbauer recently announced that it would propose to NATO the establishment of a safe area in Syria on the border with Turkey, under the auspices of the United Nations.
