Shafaq News/ The Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights (IHCHR)announced the death toll of the protests in Baghdad until Friday noon.
"The death toll has so far risen to two martyrs, 67 wounded and more than 109 cases of suffocation due to stampede and tear gas," IHCHR member ,Ali al-Bayati said in a statement received by Shafaq News.
The Iraqi capital Baghdad has witnessed an early start of the popular protests amid a strong response from the security forces caused the injury of a number of demonstrators near the Green Zone.
Security forces have fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse the protesters near al-Jomhuriya Bridge in central Baghdad after demonstrators attempted to remove the first security barrier (non-concrete) over al- Jomhuriya Bridge leading to the Green Zone.
