Some local media have reported a source in IHEC that Maliki has received a million votes .

The Chief of the constituency , Miqdad Sharifi responded to a question to about al-Maliki getting a million votes in a press conference held today , attended by " Shafaq News " , that " we don’t know the source, so there are no such numbers ."

He explained that “the final results of the elections take 20 to 30 days," expressing his surprise at the request of some political entities to declare results within a day or two.

Sharifi added that “we cannot announce ratios because there are strict measures taken by IHEC in the process of re-counting ," adding that " a report will be released today on the closure of the centers that re- counted votes ."

"The majority of entities have observers and have been provided with some results and we hope everyone to be careful and wait for the completion of all findings by IHEC ," noting that " counting centers in the provinces are differ in the large provinces for example , Nineveh and Baghdad need more time other than the small province s”.

About Anbar province, Sharifi said , " ballot boxes have been transferred from Anbar to Baghdad because of the security situation in it."

IHEC announced yesterday , the start of the second counting process in 60 centers in Iraq .

According IHEC figures , about 12 million Iraqis out of more than 20 million voters participated in the elections that took place last Wednesday .
