Shafaq News/ A security source in Kirkuk province said on Thursday that intensive warplanes in the skies of the province are among the measures that come to secure the outskirts of the province and support the security forces in Kirkuk.

The source told Shafaq News that "security forces in Kirkuk and its outskirts raised the state of alert to the maximum and those warplanes and army aircrafts are involved in this operation, the intensive warplanes in the skies of the province are part of measures to support the security of the province."

The source pointed out that "warplanes provide air cover for the security of the province and its outskirts and that the air force and the army carried out sorties since the morning to secure the province."

"The security situation in and around Kirkuk is fully secured," the source added.
