Shafaq News / One of the bodyguards of the Interior Minister died on Saturday and three others were injured in a traffic accident south of Tikrit , a security source in the Salahuddin police said.

One of the bodyguards of Interior Minister , Othman Al-Ghanmi died and 3 others were injured in a car crash between "Awja" area , ​​Saddam Hussein's hometown and Mekeshifiya area, indicating that the Minister of Interior was not in the procession as he returned to Baghdad via a military plane, a source told Shafaq News Agency.

"The traffic accident occurred because the bodyguards didn’t know the road exactly and the very high speed, referring to the transfer of the wounded to a hospital belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Awja area.

Meanwhile, a senior source at the Ministry of Interior revealed to Shafaq News Agency that "one of the military aircraft was subjected to a technical defect before takeoff and the minister returned by another plane."

Interior Minister Othman Al-Ghanmi arrived Salahuddin Governorate earlier today to discuss the security situation and the repercussions that the province witnessed.
