Shafaq News/ Iran's Foreign Ministry has officially informed the Iraqi ambassador to Tehran of its strong condemnation against the attack on the Iranian consulate in Najaf.

"We call on the Iraqi government to deal responsibly, decisively and effectively with the perpetrators of the attack on the Iranian consulate in Najaf," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi.

Mousavi expressed Tehran's condemnation of the attack on the consulate, calling on the Iraqi government "to carry out its responsibilities and duties to protect Iranian diplomats and Iranian diplomatic places in Iraq."
