“It has been decided that tomorrow will be a holiday in Baghdad to give citizens the opportunely to receive the electronic card,” The General Secretariat said in a statement briefed by " Shafaq News “.

The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced earlier distributing 10.156 million electronic card in the whole of Iraq , emphasizing that the registration centers to affiliated IHEC will continue the process of distributing the electronic card in preparation for the election of the Iraqi parliament .

The next parliamentary election is the first to use the electronic voter's card to give more transparency to the process , according to IHEC.

It is scheduled for the Iraqi parliamentary elections to take place in thirtieth of next April in all governorates of Iraq in conjunction with the provincial councils and districts elections of Kurdistan .
