to eliminate "terrorist" groups which recently took control of the regions and cities of Iraq.

 According to a statement issued by the ministry stated for "Shafaq News", it announces the arrival of the first group of five Russian combat aircraft type Sukhoi 25 into Iraqi territory under contract with the Russian ministry.

It added that these aircraft will contribute to increase the combat capability of the Air Force and the rest of the forms of the armed forces to eliminate "terrorism."

Sukhoi SU-25 has spent three decades in the military service, and was a part of the Iraqi Air Force at the time of the former regime and had been used in a war against Iran.
